Workshop: Holiday Wreath Making Details to Follow  

Sarah Boynton will present a demonstration on tips and techniques of Botanical Arts, which is the crafting of jewelry and other objects entirely from plant material. This workshop is scheduled to allow potential participants time to design and create an entry for the September Botanical Arts Competition

Our club experts, Anne Elwell Reardon-(Hort) and Sue Hess-(Photography) will explain the basics required for preparing Hort specimens and photographs for inclusion in the competitions.

Theme: Rhapsody in Green (same theme for design and photography) Learn how to prepare your floral design in anticipation of the show on July 10th. Flower conditioning and mechanics will be covered. Instructor: TBD

We will take a walk around the area of Holly Hill that our two club members are documenting for the Archives of American Gardens, Smithsonian Institution and they will share three seasons of photography with us.

Design Theme: Nature’s Cocktail Party Learn how to prepare your floral design in anticipation of the show on the 18th. Flower conditioning and mechanics will be covered. Instructor: Sarah Boynton

Ginger King will demonstrate the technique for making a hand tied English bouquet. This method was used for making all wedding bouquets prior to Oasis and other tools that aided in flower arranging. Once complete, the arrangement should stand up without benefit of support. $25 materials fee
