Cohasset Garden Club Outreach 2021

The Cohasset Garden Club supports action in conservation and civic improvement.

As a member of the Garden Club of America and in accordance with our common mission, the Cohasset Garden Club actively supports action in conservation and civic improvement.

Through our Outreach program, we support and maintain local gardens in our community and join annually with other local organizations that follow our goals and mission.

We allocate funds, when available, to “special projects” proposed by our members that fit with our overall mission. Among these on a national basis, we have supported the Garden Club of America’s Save the Redwoods Campaign, on a regional basis, the Boston Natural Areas Network Campaign, through The Boston Committee, Garden Club of America and locally, Worlds End, an Olmstead designed Trustees of Reservations property and Holly Hill Farm, a nonprofit educational organic farm and summer camp.

Some other examples of Outreach projects we have supported are

  • Re-landscaping the gardens in the front of the Osgood Elementary School

  • Choosing and replacing 5 trees around the Town Common

  • Donating new planters for the front of Wellspring’s headquarters in Hull.  Wellspring is a private non-profit multi-service organization whose purpose is to provide programs and resources to local people in need.
