Books in Bloom Design Competition

Books in Bloom is a unique event where members assemble floral
arrangements that interpret a book’s title, book jacket, or theme.
These arrangements will NOT be judged, but the public can vote on
the “Fan Favorite.” The event will occur at the Cohasset Public
Library and will be open to the public.
Please consider joining in the fun!
• Choose a book you would like to use in any area (children,
teenagers, and adults). Your book can be fiction or nonfiction.
• Create a floral arrangement (any style) that will be displayed
in the library with the book that inspired you.
• Designs will be displayed on Thursday, June 20, at 9:30 am.
• We will give every participant three points towards the end of
the year Design Awards, plus two points for the “Fan Favorite”
voted on by the public and one extra point each for the
second and third place “Fan Favorites.”
• Our CGC program, open to the public, will be at the library
on Thursday, June 20, at 1:00p.m. We will have some club
members give a live demonstration on making floral designs.
• After the program, designers should stand by their designs, if
possible, to answer questions.
• Designers should plan on refreshing their arrangements at
9:30 am on Friday and Saturday.
